The goal of the Graduate Engineering Trainee Rotational Engineer is to cultivate future logistics and supply chain successors with unlimited potential. Through this project, we hope that you can grow into a supervisor level talent in logistics management positions of Akzo Nobel in 2-5 years, and take on a more important management role in the future.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Actively participate in all site logistic operation, continuous improvement, safety, quality, and sustainability activities.
2.Use of statistical analysis and appropriate business excellence project management processes to identify areas of significant improvement and develops plans to realize the benefits
3.Investigate root cause of process failures, develop solutions for non-conforming problems and implement improvement plans.
4.Understand and improve logistics operation process, input optimize and development plan based on current capabilities.
5.Adopt successful ideas from the external world and designs improved systems to meet business needs.
6.Data integration management, such as warehouse MDI, operation KPI, SOP, other operation relatives, such as site material flow, warehouse storage modeling, racking, forklifts etc., to generate programs for operation optimization and other strategic development purpose.
7.Use data analysis and problem-solving methodologies to drive cost reduction and services quality improvement.
8.Generate and utilize charts and graphs to identify and analyze losses to prioritize opportunities for improvement.
9.Capex project management, master schedule making, and organize the meeting with relevant stakeholders within production, procurement, HSE, engineering to make the project accomplishment on time.
10.Analysis and improvement of logistics operation efficiencies.
11.Deliver key projects to meet a range of business needs which involves defining requirements, preparing plans, allocating resources and project implementation in line with project management methods and techniques.
12.Actively participate in continuous improvement projects and footprint projects to identifies improvement opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS:
1.Fresh graduate with a positive attitude – From Bachelor (or master’s degree) in all engineering discipline (supply chain, logistics, mechanical, chemical, industrial, international trade, IT)
Maximum one-year experience
2.Exhibit high initiative and leadership in student organizations/extracurricular activities
3.Proficient in English (universally understood across other countries)
4.Fluent in own local language
5.High learning agility and high adaptability
6.Willing to learn & experience different functions/knowledge. Open & proactive to share and exchange
7.Emotional Quotient (EQ). Healthy / polite challenge of ideas. Confidence
8.Excellent communication skills and inquisitive nature

14.Awareness of Functional Safety legislation and Safety Integrated Systems.
15.HSE / quality compliance experience.
16.Capable of applying continuous improvement principles to reduce and control loss and waste
17.Demonstratable understanding and application of 5S in the workplace.
18.Open for mobility (domestic & international). Can relocate to other countries on completion of the GET program.
